All-State point guard, Ra'Shaud Kincaid, has signed a letter of intent to attend WVU Tech in the fall and play basketball for the Golden Bears. Kincaid helped lead South Charleston High School to a 25-3 record in 2012-2013 before losing to Woodrow Wilson High School in the West Virginia class AAA State Tournament semi-finals in March. Kincaid was named 2nd Team All-State in AAA and 1st Team All-MSAC his senior season. He has been invited to play in the prestigious West Virginia North-South All-Star Game on June 14th to be held at the South Charleston Community Center.
“We are very excited that Ra'Shaud will be joining our program. We recruited him very hard and we believe that he is going to be an exceptional player in our system. He's a very good kid and student, comes from a great family, and has been very well coached at South Charleston,” stated Tech head coach Bob Williams.
Kincaid averaged 10 points and 6 assists per game this past season. South Charleston was ranked #1 in the state for much of the season. WVU Tech is coming off a 20-12 campaign.
